How can I make my pool floats last longer?

Keep them out of the elements. Despite being meant for the pool, pool floats break down more quickly when they’re exposed to water, chlorine, and sun for too long. With that in mind, you should always take your floaties out of the pool when you’re heading out of it and put them somewhere shady. If you must leave them in the sun, make sure they’re deflated: Sun can cause inflated pool floats to expand and even pop.
Store them properly. After taking your pool floats out of the pool, it’s best to wipe them down (to get all the dirt and chlorine off them) and store them somewhere safe and dry—preferably in a lidded container. The most important thing is that you keep your pool floats away from sharp objects, because it’s reeeeally hard to come back from that!
How should I blow up a pool float?

Sure, you could go old school and blow up your pool float with your mouth, but things can dizzy real quick if you don’t have Olympic-athlete lungs. I recommend investing in an electric pump, which you can buy for pretty cheap on Amazon or other home stores. If you have a hand pump or bike pump lying around, that will work too—it just might take a lil longer.
